About The Centre

Kadampa Meditation Centre Manchester has been part of Manchester since 1992 and has two dedicated venues with shops, a World Peace Cafe and residential space in Chorlton.  We run classes, courses and various events that are open to everyone.

in the city at 125 Portland St, M1 4QD      

in Chorlton at 76 High Lane, M21 9XF    

We offer guided meditation sessions and classes on Modern Buddhism that are practical and suitable for everyone.   All of our sessions are suitable for beginners and offer solutions to our daily problems of stress, worry, anxiety, frustration, anger etc through training in meditation and mindfulness through and understanding of modern Buddhism.  Please see the menu’s above for details of all our activities.

Our shop in the city is open Monday – Friday 12pm – 5.30pm (Wed 4:30pm) & Saturday 1 – 4pm (except during session times)

Our World Peace Cafe in Chorlton is open Thursday – Sunday 11am – 4pm

KMC Manchester is part of the New Kadampa Tradition – International Kadampa Buddhist Union founded by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche with over 1200 Centres & branches in over 40 countries.

Whether you are a beginner to meditation and Buddhism or not please feel free to drop in to one of our sessions run by our experienced Kadampa teachers.
