CLASS STRUCTURE

MODERN BUDDHISM CLASS

We are currently following the teachings from Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s latest book How To Transform Your Life. (Free download of this book available at HowToTYL.com)

Each week we look at a different section from the text and engage in meditation on the conclusion from the talk.  This class is perfect if you have a wish to follow a book from beginning to end.

From June 2017 we have just begun the second part of the book on Learning to Cherish Others.

You are welcome to drop in any week, this class is suitable for beginners and you dont need to book.

“From the depths of our heart we want to be happy all the time, but we are not usually very concerned with the happiness and freedom of others. In reality, however, our own happiness and suffering are insignificant compared to that of other living beings. Others are countless, whereas we ourself are just one single person. Understanding this, we must learn to cherish others and accomplish the ultimate, supreme goal of human life.”

No.  Everyone is welcome.  These methods are applicable in our daily lives whatever our background or beliefs.

No.  The classes are all seated and you are welcome to sit on a chair or on a cushion on the floor.

Yes.  All of our classes are suitable for everyone.

No.  All of our classes are drop in.  However for half day courses and evening classes in the city there is a discount if you book in advance.

We are a not for profit charity.  All of the fees for classes cover the costs of running our Centres and go towards our International Temples Project.
