Our drop in weekly meditation clases are a great way to learn about meditation and how to develop a daily meditation practice.
THESE COURSES ARE HELD IN:
Each class begins with a simple guided breathing meditation to reduce stress, tension and distractions followed by a talk on how to incorporate meditation and mindfulness into daily life and ends with a second guided meditation. There is an opportunity to ask questions.
You don’t have to attend the entire series so can drop in at any time but maximum benefit is gained by attending a whole series. The classes are taught by Kadampa teachers. They are great for beginners but also for people wishing to deepen their experience. Each series of classes explores different topics so some people attend on an ongoing basis. The classes explore Buddhist meditation but are suitable for everyone, regardless of religious background or experience.
The classes are relaxed and informal and you don’t have to wear any special clothing or take anything with you. Just turn up as you are. It’s helpful if you can aim to arrive 5 or 10 minutes before the class so we can ensure the class starts on time.
