Joyful Path of Good Fortune
The Complete Buddhist Path to Enlightenment

Wednesdays ~ 6:30 – 9:30pm

76 High Lane, Chorlton, M21 9XF.

with Resident Teacher Gen Kelsang Lhachog

If you have been attending classes for a while, and want to deepen your understanding of Kadampa meditation and Buddhism, you may like to try our in-depth study class.  The class is presently studying the book Joyful Path of Good Fortune by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.  The book gives great detail and understanding to the the twenty one lamrim meditations, which Kadampa Buddhism is based on.  There are many great stories and analogies to help us to connect to the meaning of the meditations, and how they can be applied to our daily life.

The evening is three hours long and is split into two sessions  which include prayers, meditation, a teaching and paired discussion.  There is a twenty five minute break in the middle for refreshments.

You are welcome to try out the programme at anytime, before deciding whether to commit the section/book being studied.

Here are some words by Venerable Geshe Kelsang about the programme:

“These programs, therefore, are real wishfulfilling jewels for Dharma practitioners. By participating in them we can improve our wisdom and Dharma experience and use Dharma to solve our daily problems. We can become our own protector by protecting ourselves from danger and suffering, and our own doctor by curing our mental pain with Dharma medicine.
