BOOKSTORE AND GIFT SHOP

We stock a range of books on Buddhist meditation and practice – many of which are ideal for beginners. Meditation CDs, audiobooks, prayer booklets, Buddhist art prints, postcards, greetings cards, stationery and much more are are also available in our shop.

The shop has a range of  Statues, malas and meditation cushions, as well as gift items including incense, candles, notebooks, mugs, and lots more.

We’re open from 12.00 till 5.30pm Monday-Friday (4.30 on Wednesdays) and 10am-4pm Saturday. You are very welcome to drop in and browse the shop, have a look around, and ask any questions you may have (please note we do have to close temporarily during meditations & classes)

All books sold are written by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. He has written 23 books explaining simply and clearly the entire Buddhist path to enlightenment.

These include introductory books, intermediate books, and more advanced books.

Kadampa Meditation Centre Manchester is a non-profit making organisation and all income generated from its activities funds the running of the centre.

No.  Everyone is welcome.  These methods are applicable in our daily lives whatever our background or beliefs.

No.  The classes are all seated and you are welcome to sit on a chair or on a cushion on the floor.

Yes.  All of our classes are suitable for everyone.

No.  All of our classes are drop in.  However for half day courses and evening classes in the city there is a discount if you book in advance.

We are a not for profit charity.  All of the fees for classes cover the costs of running our Centres and go towards our International Temples Project.
