Imagine a life free from painful emotions? Developing such an understanding of our feelings that we can control our emotions rather than being overwhelmed by them. Feelings of anxiety, stress, irritation, dissatisfaction and loneliness are prevalent in today’s modern society, but can we overcome all these painful emotions? Buddha taught that all emotions are states of mind, feelings within our mind. By working with our mind we can start to reduce our experience of unhappy emotions and begin to cultivate a deep lasting happiness. Through meditation & mindfulness we can learn tools to gradually be able to transform our mind from a negative state to a positive and peaceful state.
Each class contains –
Breathing Meditation
Each class begins with a short breathing meditation to calm the mind and enable us to let go of the mental busyness.
Talk
A talk showing how the methods found in modern Buddhism are applicable and accessible for our busy lives.
Concluding Meditation
The session will end with a meditation related to the topic with a conclusion that we can take away into our daily life
