MODERN BUDDHISM CLASS

From 14 August

We are currently following the teachings from Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s latest book How To Transform Your Life. (Free download of this book available at HowToTYL.com)

If you would like to study in more depth then this class is a perfect start.  Each week we look at a different aspect from Buddha’s teachings and there is an opportunity to discuss and ask questions.

In August:  We will be looking at the chapter ‘Exchanging Self with Others’

In September:  We will look at the chapter on ‘Great Compassion’ and ‘Wishing Love’

In October:  We will look at the chapter on ‘ Taking and Giving’ and ‘Bodhichitta’

In November: We will look at the chapter on ‘Ultimate Bodhichitta’

In December:  We will look at sections from the appendix on prayers and Advice from Atishas Heart

You are welcome to drop-in any week, this class is suitable for beginners and you don’t need to book.

“From the depths of our heart we want to be happy all the time, but we are not usually very concerned with the happiness and freedom of others. In reality, however, our own happiness and suffering are insignificant compared to that of other living beings. Others are countless, whereas we ourself are just one single person. Understanding this, we must learn to cherish others and accomplish the ultimate, supreme goal of human life.”

PLEASE NOTE: there are no classes on bank holidays
