This class is open to everyone and will offer practical methods to begin to practice meditation in your daily life.

In the classes over the coming weeks we will be exploring the topics in the book ‘How To Solve Our Human Problems‘ by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.  Looking at practical methods to understand what is the nature of our problems so we can use begin to deal with the challenges and difficulties we meet every day.

As is explained, “In this busy world, our experiences of happiness are fleeting and short-lived, while inner peace eludes us completely.  Our negative states of mind, such as uncontrolled desire and anger, create endless problems for ourselves and others, and prevent us from fulfilling our deepest wishes. Buddha’s popular teaching on the Four Noble Truths offers a clear and simple solution, guiding us to an oasis of peace within our hearts.”

This class is held in Room F11 upstairs.  However the room can sometimes change so do check the board in the foyer downstairs if you are unsure.

Why do we need to practice meditation? The reason is that the real source of happiness is inner peace. When our mind is peaceful we naturally experience inner calm and happiness. Meditation that is taught in Buddhas teachings is the method to develop the positive qualities of mind and gives rise to inner peace and leads us to experience happiness. This is the same for everyone.
