Worry, anxiety, stress, fear & depression can feel like experiences that define our life. We can feel that we are these qualities and yet we wish to be free from them.  Meditation and the wisdom of Buddha’s teachings are the method to begin to transform our mental patterns and thought processess, redefining our experience and creating the inner calm and peace we have been searching for.

MEDICINE BUDDHA EMPOWERMENT

Venerable Geshe-la tells us that when our world is pervaded by problems, sufferings and dangers, one of the most important practices we can engage in is that of Medicine Buddha. By relying upon this Holy Being in very impure times, we can definitely be cured of physical and mental diseases and find release from all internal pain.

We often have trouble letting go of painful events in our past and this affects the way we respond to our current life situations. We blame situations, ourselves or others and remain trapped in a state of anger and hurt feeling guilt and resentment. Through training in meditation we can begin to recognize the real source of pain and difficulty within our minds and finally release it completely, leaving us with a tremendous feeling of relief and joy.

Join us for a saturday evening with a difference! The evening starts with a relaxing guided meditation & talk in our beautiful meditation room, followed by a delicious vegetarian 3 course meal in the world peace cafe. These events are a wonderful opportunity to spend time with like minded people, to introduce a friend to meditation, or to just come along and enjoy good vegetarian food and an alcohol-free evening.  Vegan & Gluten free available – please let us know in advance.  Advance booking is essential to secure a place.

NEW YEARS EVE ~ a wish for world peace

31 December | 8pm – 12.15am | £15

at KMC Manchester in Chorlton at 76 High Lane

The evening begins with a talk by Gen Lhachog from Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s latest book ‘How to Transform your Life’ on how we can experience a peaceful mind and benefit others.
The talk will be followed by a Sweet Potato Chilli, Rice & Tortilla Chips, Desserts & non-alcoholic Drinks. 
Over midnight there will be an opportunity to engage in guided meditation and prayers to Avalokiteshvara the Buddha of Compassion. so that we can bring in the new year with a wish for everyone to be free from suffering and experience happiness.

No.  Everyone is welcome.  These methods are applicable in our daily lives whatever our background or beliefs.

No.  The classes are all seated and you are welcome to sit on a chair or on a cushion on the floor.

Yes.  All of our classes are suitable for everyone.

No.  All of our classes are drop in.  However for half day courses and evening classes in the city there is a discount if you book in advance.

We are a not for profit charity.  All of the fees for classes cover the costs of running our Centres and go towards our International Temples Project.
