In our modern society most people have simply too much to do and not enough time, and as a result we experience enormous stress, anxiety and fatigue. How can we cope with ever-increasing demands from every direction? By using the power of our mindfulness, we can develop, strengthen and keep a special experience of peace in our mind despite a very busy life. Much more than a way of becoming fully-present and aware, mindfulness is essential to keep our sanity day to day as well as to progress along the spiritual path.
Using guided meditation and practical instruction, this half day course will give us the understanding and confidence to employ mindfulness effectively in our daily life.
Each class contains –
Breathing Meditation
Each class begins with a short breathing meditation to calm the mind and enable us to let go of the mental busyness.
Talk
A talk showing how the methods found in modern Buddhism are applicable and accessible for our busy lives.
Concluding Meditation
The session will end with a meditation related to the topic with a conclusion that we can take away into our daily life

No.  Everyone is welcome.  These methods are applicable in our daily lives whatever our background or beliefs.

No.  The classes are all seated and you are welcome to sit on a chair or on a cushion on the floor.

Yes.  All of our classes are suitable for everyone.

No.  All of our classes are drop in.  However for half day courses and evening classes in the city there is a discount if you book in advance.

We are a not for profit charity.  All of the fees for classes cover the costs of running our Centres and go towards our International Temples Project.
